Hello my name is Arely, I just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Adeline Grace. My husband and I found out we were expecting back in September of 2024 after a few complications with the pregnancy I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum at 12 weeks my baby was also measuring very small during every ultrasound. I got my blood work done at 20 weeks which results came back on January 27, 2025 with high risk for trisomy 18 which lands on my husband and I’s one year courthouse wedding anniversary. Definitely not the way I planned to spend my first wedding anniversary, it was very devastating for both of us but we knew we had to lean on the Lord for a miracle. The weeks would go by and every Dr appt brought so much anxiety since they always spoke to us about the option to terminate the pregnancy and every diagnosis after that was more devastating. At 25 weeks we decided to do the amnio which came back with full trisomy 18 and confirmed that I was retaining a lot of fluid which could later cause more health issues. We decided to continue with the pregnancy because we believe the Lord is the one that has the last word, as much as we prayed for a miracle here on earth we also knew that if he decided to take her it was for his glory. At 32 weeks I was hospitalized for high blood pressure which led to preeclampsia and had to be flown out to Denver CO, which Dr decided it was best to deliver her. On April 13, 2025 Palm Sunday our daughter was born, we were able to spend a few hours with her before the Lord called her home. These last few days have been a complete challenge because I am currently still facing preeclampsia complications and I no longer have a baby. April 19th will be having a funeral for our baby girl which lands on Resurrection Sunday and my one year anniversary from our church wedding. I will forever miss her and pray that I’ll later have the opportunity to expand our family without any complications.
